The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced up to US$ 45 million in funding to support the domestic development of advanced batteries for electric vehicles. Through DOE’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), the department is launching the Electric Vehicles for American Low-Carbon Living (EVs4ALL) program to develop more affordable, convenient, efficient and resilient batteries.
Idaho Power has announced plans to install 120 MW of battery storage, to come online next summer, which will help maintain reliable service during periods of high use while furthering the company’s goal of providing 100% clean energy by 2045.
American automaker Fisker announced it is expanding to a second headquarters in Hyderabad, India. The Indian footprint joins Fisker’s current HQ, engineering, and product development facilities in Southern California and will soon provide software and virtual vehicle development.
